Mumbai Traffic Police issues traffic guidelines for Dussehra Melava function in BKC on 5 October

Ahead of the Dussehra Melava function on 5 October, 2022 being organized at MMRDA. Ground, BKC. Bandra (E), Mumbai, the event is expected to draw massive crowd with huge people coming from different parts of Maharashtra State to attend in their vehicles.

In view of this, there is bound to be a massive traffic congestion at Western Express Highway, Eastern Express Highway and nearby roads, leading to the celebration avenue.

In a bid to streamline traffic and to avoid inconvenience to people in general traffic diversion is made on 5 October between 09.00 hrs. to 24.00 hours on temporary basis.

Road will be closed for vehicular traffic except vehicles carrying people for the Dussehra Melava.
There will be No Entry to vehicles coming from Western Express Highway, Dharavi
and Worli Sea Link through BKC Family Court and towards Kurla.

There will be No Entry to vehicles coming from Saint Dnyaneshwar road through
BKC Income tax junction towards Kurla.
There shall be No Entry to the vehicles coming from Government Colony, Kanakiya Palace and Valmiki Nagar through BKC premises towards Chunabhatti and Kurla.

There will be No Entry to vehicles coming through Surve Junction and Razzak
Junction through BKC premises towards Western express highway,Dharavi and Worli Sea
Link.

No Entry to vehicles coming through Eastern express highway via Chunabhatti to BKC premises by using BKC connector south bound.
Whereas No Parking restrictions imposed through earlier notification in BKC area
shall be released on 05/10/2022 between 14-00 hrs to 24.00 hrs.

Optional Route
Vehicles coming in from Western express highway, Worli Sea link through BKC premises towards Kurla will take U turn from Family Court Junction- Left turn from MMRDA Junction
and shall proceed through the Junction towards Kurla.

Vehicles proceeding from Saint Dnyaneshwar Nagar through BKC premises Income tax to
junction shall proceed along Guru Nanak Hospital-Jagat Vidya Mandir Junction through
Kala Nagar Junction and through Dharavi Junction towards Kurla.

Vehicles proceeding towards Kurla through BKC Premises will take U turn from
Valimiki Nagar and proceed through Government Colony- Kalanagar Junction Dharavi and to junction towards Kurla.

Vehicles from Razzak and Surve Junction through BKC premises towards westerm express
highway, Dharavi and Worli Sea Link shall proceed through CST Road, University Main
gate, Ambedkar Junction- right turn Hansbhugra Junction and shall proceed towards their
destination.

Vehicles proceeding through Eastern express highway from Chunabhatti towards BKC
Will take right turn at Sion circle and through T junction- Kalanagar junction proceed to
their destination.
