Mumbai: Haji Ali Dargah an iconic landmark in Mumbai, floating in the middle of sea like a revered mirage gets credited as the First Dargah to be listed in the World Books of Records London as the most visiting shrines in the World This Indo-Islamic pilgrim site is 552 years old.

A Certificate for the accomplishment was presented to Mr.Abdul Sattar Merchant, Chairman & Managing Trustee of Haji Ali Dargah Trust on 15th February, 2020, by an official team of World Book Of Record Advocate Santosh Shukla President of WBR, Mr.Usman Khan Vice President WBR, Mumbai and other Dignitaries.

The Mosque houses the tomb of Saint Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari. Legend has it that Saint Haji Ali passed away while on his pilgrimage to Mecca, but miraculously, his casket floated across the sea and ended up on the shores of Mumbai. This is how this iconic mosque in Mumbai came into existence.
