Ahead of the arrest of Mumbai Retired ACP’s son Shreyas Kenjale today in seizure of LSD worth Rs.50 lakhs, NCB on Wednesday arrested Iqbal Kaskar, younger brother of Notorious underworld don and global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim younger brother Iqbal Kaskar was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday.

As per NCB Officials Kaskar’s name cropped up during the investigations of recent seizures of 15 kg of Hashish by the federal anti-narcotics agency.

Kaskar is accused of running the operations of Dawood Ibrahim in Mumbai for the past couple of decades.

Reportedly, Kaskar was deported from the UAE in 2003 along with underworld gangster Ejaz Patha, the latter was recently sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment by a TADA court in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case (he died while undergoing sentence).

Kaskar was booked for the murder of a Customs Department informer. He was also accused in the Sara-Sahara case – an illegal shopping complex that came up inģ Crawford Market, very near to the Mumbai police headquarters.

He was booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) but was acquitted in both cases.

In February 2015, he was arrested by the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Thane police in a case of extortion – and he had been lodged in the jail in that case as an undertrial.
