As the BMC Polls are nearing there is a great discontent among all Political Parties on the issue of ticket distribution .It has become a great challenge for the Party bosses as every Candidate is wanting to contest the elections. Last week Congress minority chief Nizamuddin Rayeen quit the party on the issue of ticket distribution. The same thing happened with Ncp in the North Central district
ward no 97 ,Ncp has issued ticket to Umer Solanki from santacuruz West as the party candidate from in the 2nd list. This declaration has sparked anger among the other party activists.
The district president of North central district Mr Momin qureshi is strongly oppossing the selection and he with his supporters took a silent protest against the party on Sunday at Daulat Nagar.
“For the last 15 years I have served the party and I am one of the founder members since the party came in to existence .In the past I have relentlessly tried to bring the community closer to the party with tremendous support from my colleague Mastaan Inaamdaar who helped me a lot and played a very important role.
Party’s decision in giving ticket to Umer solanki is very unfair and wrong . He joined the party 3 month ago and got the ticket. Is it Fair?
It’s giving a wrong message among the party workers. Senior party workers are upset with this decision .So we demand that the party should cancell his selection and should give ticket to the person who is deserving and loyal to the party “, said Momin Qureshi president , North central District Ncp Minority.
Another leader from the party Mastaan Inaamdaar who lead the protest on Sunday has threatened the party high command to roll back the decision otherwise all party workers will resign from their post.
According to Inaamdaar, Umer Solanki does not have the grass root connect and lacks mass appeal among party workers which can make the party loose a sure wining seat.
They have also written a letter to the senior leader Jayant patil about this and are waiting for a positive reply.
As this decision will upset party workers in Daulat nagar vicinity .
