Getting your Thai visa requirements ready on time is also necessary to help you scale through the stress.

Thailand Visa Requirements

Planning a trip to Thailand starts with knowing and getting the visa requirements ready. So, what are the Thai visa requirements?

The purpose of your visit to Thailand determines the requirements. If you’re going on a business trip, your Thai visa requirements will differ from a tourist’s.

If you’re a tourist, you may not need a visa. However, if you’re staying for less than 30 days, you should get your passport with at least 6 months validity, together with a blank visa page.

Ensure you communicate with your airline before the travel date to confirm that you don’t need a visa. It is also crucial to confirm that your return flight out of Thailand is intact within 30 days of your stay.

You need enough funds to sustain yourself throughout your stay in Thailand. Hence, it would help if you had nothing less than 10,000 baht in your account. You might be asked to pay a 30 USD application fee. Bear in mind that the amount can change without prior notice.

If your stay is longer than 30 days, the requirements will differ slightly. Asides from your valid passport, you also need two colored ID photographs. The photographs must be of good quality and taken within the last 3 months.

You need a detailed and signed application form. Ensure that the details on your application form correspond with those on your passport.

You will also need to provide a health certificate issued no later than 3 days before the travel date. The certificate should confirm that you’re not infected with COVID-19.

When you have ensured the above are all set, you can begin to make plans to make your stay in Thailand memorable.

There are some necessary things you would need in Thailand. You don’t want to forget any of these items. Therefore, getting them ready before the travel date is very important.
