Hello Mumbai City Desk :
Beach clean up
Walk for Mangroves, is an initiative of Smt. Saher Bhamla of the Bhamla foundation, daughter of the founder of the organization Mr. Asif Bhamla. The Principal of R.D. and S.H. National College, Dr. Neha Jagtiani lead this initiative on behalf of the prestigious college which has been taking part in nature preservation for over 70 years with their Nature Club and the N.S.S department. They have together managed to have a big impact over the years by involving people and convincing them to make small contributions, which not only leads to better local hygiene but also tackles our larger goal of environmental and climate preservation. This initiative comes under the “Bringing in UN Day”, it will be flagged off by Bhumi Pednekar on 20th October, 2021 and students of R.D. and S.H. National College will partake in the cleanup.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that has!!” ~Margret Mead
This has been illustrated by the Bhamla Foundation brilliantly, so let’s join hands and gather en-masse at the Amphitheater, Carter Rd., Opp. Di Bella Coffee on 20th October, 2021.
