Rotary Club of Bombay West Launches Vaccination Drive for covid 19 affected people

Notably, Rotary Club is an active and vibrant Club that aids the poor and needy people even in nature’s calamity.
In the 1st Outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic’, Rotary Club ensured Its helping hand in distribution .If essential items to the needy and poor.
Amid this Covid-19 2nd Wave pandemic, everyone is going through dilemmas and the Rotary Club are trying to minimise it
Needless to mention Rotary Club have accomplished numerous significant social projects in providing food and many other areas of endeavor.
In the midst of this Pandemic, they are providing benefits to the needy ones.
Even in the 1st Wave of the pandemic Rotary Club have risen to the grim situation and dustributed essential items to the needy and poor.

Brief Introduction of Club :

Rotary has been supporting various causes including Education, Peace, Medical projects, Environmental projects, projects for Women Empowerment, projects for Children in need, Differently Abled and many more.The need for associations like Rotary is more than ever before! During the Covid crisis, Rotary in Mumbai alone has done work of over Rs. 100 crores to assist those in need.

Rotary Club of Bombay West carrying out a Vaccination drive to benefit several people amid a pandemic

Rotary Club of Bombay West of Rotary District 3141 is a premium club in Mumbai. Over the last 67 years, the club has done several permanent projects in and around Mumbai. Whenever there is any natural calamity or when the community needs instant help, members of the Rotary Club of Bombay West come together and pull their resources to immediately help victims.
As always, members are continuously working during pandemics in identifying opportunities to help people to ensure the safety and avail of early vaccination. Some of the activities done are:

Our Director Community Service Medical, Prashant Patel initiated under the guidance of our President Dr. Manoj Patel a project to stock Oxygen Concentrators for patients in urgent need. In time availability of oxygen helped many patients to recover without further need of hospitalization.

Their senior Rotarian Jayant Sanghvi who was also a part of the above project initiated the BMC vaccination center at our club’s premises. This was quickly approved by BMC and on 19th May this center started working strictly as per the Government guidelines and the coWIN app.

Because of the consistent requests from a wider section of the community, our Past President Rajendra Ruia has started a process for setting up a paid by Private Vaccination Center. This has received a wide response across age groups and several Rotary Clubs. This new vaccination center is likely to benefit several thousand who are anxiously looking for vaccination.

And the above projects have been possible because of proactive steps taken by our President Dr. Manoj Patel, President-Elect Gautam Chande, and the Secretary Hima Dalal.
