Sameer Wankhede transferred from Mumbai NCB Zonal Director to DRI Department Tenure in Mumbai expired on 31 Dec

In a sensational turn of development Sameer Wankhede Mumbai Zonal Director of Narcotics Central Bureau has been transferred to the DRI Department. His tenure ended with Mumbai NCB came to an end in 31 December.

Notably Sameer Wankhede was in DRI department before being inducted as Zonal Director in Mumbai NCB. From the DRI department itself, he was moved to Mumbai NCB and made the zonal director.

Even as his term as Zonal Director of Narcotics Central Bureau in Mumbai was over yet there was a delay in the decision to replace him with Mumbai NCB or give extension to NCB itself. Reportedly the Cabinet Minister and NCP Leader had raised this question. He had said that a big leader of Maharashtra BJP is lobbying for Sameer Wankhede in Delhi.

Nevertheless attempts are underway to retain him in Mumbai NCB. That is why the decision regarding them is getting delayed. After the question raised by him a day ago, the news of his transfer came to the fore today.

This transfer of Sameer Wankhede will come as a big news for Bollywood Celebrities who were intercepted and grilled in Drug case.
