*A REPORT ABOUT*
*Selection of Minority Candidates for Police Constable Pre-Training(21/11/2017)*
As announced by the *Government of Maharashtra, Ministry of Minority affairs* camps for selection of candidates for pre training for constables was conducted by *Maharashtra state minority commission* at various police parade grounds on 21st of November 2017
Inspite of Massive Publicity on social media and Urdu Newspapers by social activist and ex standing committee member Salim Alware the response was not up to the mark. Some of the districts like Aurangabad, Washim, Jalgaon, Pune, Akola and Nagpur was very high but in some districts it was very low as only 2 candidates attended at Alibaug Police Parade Ground for Raigad district.
Unfortunately even for Mumbai at Naigaon Dadar Police Ground the turnout was very low with 72 students showing up including 12 female students. The verification of documents and physical measurements were done under supervision of Deputy Collector Dr. Golap. He was very cooperative towards all the students.
The selected candidates will be given two months extensive training including 3hrs classroom coaching and 2hrs physical training. The selected candidates will be paid Rs.1000 towards shoes and uniform and Rs.1500 will be paid per month as stipend.
The sources from the office of the minority commission revealed that they are likely to start training from 4th December 2017 in 14 Districts. Salim Alware through a letter to office of minority commission demanded that training should be given to all eligible candidates who attended selection camps on 21st November 2017. He also demanded to reconduct selection camps where turnout was very low.
