The Enforcement Agency Night Team in association with S.S Branch received information that an illegal Orchestra Bar (dance bar) Shivleela Bar and Restaurant in Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri (E) was in operation.

Relying on the information Women Police Insector Anita Kadam, Assistant Police Inspector Balasaheb Kanawade and Team under the Guidance of ACP Chandrakant Jadhav Enforcement, CB, Mumbai, conducted a raid at Shiv Leela Bar and Restaurant in Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri (E) on 25 December at 00:05 hrs.

During the raid, the Police found
26 accused blatantly operating the orchestra bar and arrested them and rescued 15 girls.

The accused were arrested under Sections Spl.LAc no /22, u/s 3 ,8 (1),(2), (4) Prohibition of Obscene Dancing in Hotels, Restaurants and Bar rooms and Protection of the dignity of the women (working in them) act 2016 and taken into custody in MIDC Police Station, Andheri(E).

The Police seized Seized Rs. 1,94,520/- cash, 1-laptop (20,000),1 speaker (3000), 1 Amplifier (25000), and 1 Memory Card.
The Total seizure amounted to
Rs. 2,42, 520.

Earlier the Enforcement Agency in association with Mumbai Police (Crime) had carried series of raids at Retro Bar and Restaurant, Agripada, Vilas Bar(Dance Bar) & Restaurant Andheri (W) Jyoti Punjab Bar (Orchestra Bar) And Restaurant,
Chembur, Jayprit (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurent”, Tiger Hookah Parlour in Chembur, EPITOME Global Dining and Hooka Parlour in, Lower Parel, White House (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurant im Worli, Ghungroo (Orchestra) Bar and Restaurant in Ghatkopar and so forth.

Despite the raids in the above mentioned Orchestra Bars and Hookah Parlours and accused arrested yet the shady business continues unmindfully and with no fear to long arm of law.
