Notably, this comes as the fourth arrest following the restart of the probe by the Crime Branch Sleuths.

Earlier, the police had arrested five people and had even filed a chargesheet in the case.

As per a senior police officer offences under sections 420,467,468,470,471 and 120B of the IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act 13(1)(d) was registered in 2016 against several persons who were part of the mega fraud.

The accused in nexus with each other had obtained benefit under the ULC by showing the residential plot as an agricultural plot. The offence is registered with the Thane police.
