News Report by Kamal Prabhakar UK Head Hello Mumbai News :

As we approach 2021 – the world and the UK can look forward to a positive year in which a successful global roll out of the vaccine will lead to a rebuilding of the world economy.
In the UK, whilst we have been one of the first to roll out a vaccine programme, we in the UK and the world eagerly waits for the Astra Zeneca/Oxford vaccine to be added to the current list of vaccines. This will allow a faster distribution of the vaccine both because of its lower cost and the ease of distribution. This is going to be essential if we are to ensure that all countries benefit from the vaccine. Only when we have immunity globally, will we be able to defeat this terrible disease.

In the UK, we view 2021 with much more positivity partly because of the vaccine roll out but also as a result of a successful free trade deal with the EU. Whilst questions remain around the nature of non-tariff costs and how services sectors will be treated (the UK’s trade is 80% service based), businesses especially in manufacturing can now approach 2021 with more certainty.

The pandemic has changed the environment in which business will be conducted in the future. The digital approach to commerce will be accelerated as people continue to work and shop from home. The role of cities will no longer be the same and those who supply services in cities will now be looking to change their business models. The successful roll out of the vaccine will see a positive return for those who operate in the ‘people to people’ business such as my business – Nachural. We are already booking dates for our Signature Awards in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester and Wolverhampton in which we attract more than 500 of the leading entrepreneurs at each event. We have also booked our date for our Indian Signature Awards event in 2023 in New Delhi.
As we leave behind a difficult 2020 in which there was hardship and many deaths, we can now look to a decade of roaring success in which international leadership will ensure that we have a much harmonious world in which we can trade freely and work together to ensure that we tackle the challenges that will be there in a post COVID 19 world and ensure that there is economic inclusive growth for all and not just the few.
