A notorious criminal Vikrant Deshmukh, wanted by Mumbai police and Goa Police in connection with 33 various cases, including murder, extortion, dacoity and robbery,
was arrested on Saturday late night while he was boarding a casino ship in Goa’s Panaji.

Reportedly, Deshmukh made attempts to flee from the spot, but was nabbed by the Panaji police after a wild goose chase for some distance.
Notably, accused Deshmukh’s presence in Goa was tipped-off by the Goa crime branch, which was working closely with Navi Mumbai police.
According to SP, Deshmukh was absconding since the last four years and only two days ago, he returned to Goa for recreational purpose.
While being interrogated by the Police, firearm and five bullets were recovered from the accused.
