Organized Mega WMO-AMP Job Fair in association with Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) and Launching of Job Portal memonjobs.com
World Memon Organization NIC – Organized WMO- AMP Mega Job Fair on 04/01/2018, at Rail Nikunj Hall Mumbai Central, was inaugurated by Mr. Suliman Noor Mahomed (Solly Noor) – President WMO, who while speaking at the occasion said that “WMO was formed not just for the Memon Community but for the Mankind at large. Organising such a job fair is a great way to help underserved Communities and thus serve the nation”. He also appreciated and thanked the entire team of WMO NIC & AMP for organizing such a successful job fair and welcomed the participating Corporates,1800 Candidates attend WMO-AMP Job Fair at Mumbai out of which 310 got final job offers and 643 were shortlisted for the next round of selection and some of their candidates were given offer letter by his hands.
Memonjobs.com website was inaugurated by Mr. Nowsad Abdul Gani, Deputy-President WMO, who while speaking at the occasion said that he appreciates and thanked the entire team of WMO NIC & AMP for organizing such a successful job fair and welcomed the participating Corporates
On the occasion, WMO also launched a Job Portal www.memonjobs.com at the hands of Mr. Nowsad Abdul Gani, ,who while speaking at the occasion said this website has launched and created to help the unemployed youth jobseekers without any discrimination of caste, in our localities, in our cities, in our country and the world may not remain without an opportunity to work and was very pleased with the arrangements.
Mr. Ashraf Sattar, Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustees WMO, Mr. Shahid Sangani, C.O.O-WMO and Mr. Abdul Sattar Dada, Past-President, WMO also were the other dignitaries who attended the event and were very pleased with the arrangements.
Sir Iqbal Sacraine, WMO Founder Member the 1st Memon to be conferred the Knighthood by the Queen of England. who while speaking at the occasion said “It is the Endeavour of WMO that not a single person.
Mr. Haroon Karim, Chairman-Board of Trustees, WMO was also delighted with the initiative taken by their Organisation for creating such opportunities for the youngsters of the Community and the Nation. He mentioned that “WMO works on giving livelihood to needy youngsters and aims to remove poverty through providing employment opportunities”.
Ehsan Gadawala, President WMO North India Chapter, said “We resolve to conduct more such events in the future through AMP’s Employment Cell and undertake partnerships with other similar Organisations to serve our fellow countrymen.”
Suhail Khandwani, Patron WMO North India Chapter. while speaking on the occasion said that “We need to create Institutions which will help our youngsters to get meaningful jobs to sustain themselves”.
Aamir Edresy, President, AMP who was personally present said, “AMP has repeatedly worked for the Indian Youth for the last 5 years by inviting Corporates and HR Consultants offering various job opportunities at our Job Fairs. We are now getting into Partnerships & Collaborations with like-minded organisations like WMO and various Government agencies like District Skill Development, Employment & Entreprenuership (DSDE&E) and Maharastra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) to give the right opportunity for our youth so they can transform their lives for the better and significantly contribute to India’s growth story. We seek to be the bridge between the Corporates, Government agencies and the Unemployed/Underemployed youth. We firmly believe in this ideology of Economic Empowerment through creation of job opportunities.
Mr. Razak Shaikh, Head-AMP Employment Cell, who was overseeing the arrangements, stressed about India being a country of largest population of youth as compared to other countries and has tremendous potential to become the Employment Factory for the World. He also mentioned that AMP had so far organized 20 Mega Job Fairs and hundreds of Job Drives in the last 5 years of AMP’s existence with more than 12,000 candidates being placed during these initiatives across 80 AMP Chapters all over the Country.
The event was a result of dedication and hard work of WMO & AMP Team Members under the guidance of Mr. Salim Bandhukia, Executive Officer WMO NIC, Mr. Soheb Selia, AMP’s Organizing Secretary, Mr. Razak Shaikh and Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Team Lead, AMP Employment Cell under which the Job Fair Project was done and DSDE&E team supported the AMP Team and the Railway police personnel very ably managed the crowd.
