Shocking survey of UC Browser
Every sixth minute there is a death in the nation due to lack of blood. Despite this, 56% of Indians are not able to donate blood. On June 14, on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the survey of UC Browser has revealed shocking results. 56% of the users have said that they have never donated blood.
More than 70 thousand people across the country participated in the UC survey. Though most of the people understand its importance, yet they have no idea about how and where to donate blood. Apart from this, many people said that they do not trust blood banks and some say that they fear their blood will be sold.

According to the report submitted in the Lok Sabha, there is no blood bank in 76 districts of 14 states in the country. Due to poor maintenance, about 521,791 litres of blood is wasted every year. This is also one of the reasons why people shy away from donating blood. Now it is the responsibility of the government to assure people that if they donate blood then it will be used properly or those who donate blood can be encouraged and benefited.
