    Movie Review – Stree

    By – Khalid Saeed Khan

Stree is based on a ridiculously true phenomenon. Vicky (Rajkumar Rao) is a tailor by profession who helps his father in their ladies tailor shop in Chanderi Village. Every year during Pooja time in their village a ghost named “Stree” attacks their village men. This Pooja lasts 4 nights, hence all the men of the village are warned to be safe during this time and stay at home. Who is this Stree and why she attacks men ?

Stree is a winner from the word “Go”. It engrosses and engages you. It keeps you hooked with so much happening. It has right amount of comedy, romance, drama and thrill to make it a winner. The perfoemances by the lead cast is good. Rajkumar Rao once again excels as Vicky. Shraddha Kapoor is also good in her part. Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana are brilliant in their supporting roles. The lenght of the movie is just 129 minutes which is apt for such kind of movies and it makes the viewing easier for the audiences. Songs are good and they don’t hamper the proceedings.

I enjoyed watching this one. So go and watch it soon.

    Rating – 3.5*
