“Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari
The fresh and novel trailer of the film Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is out! The film has been directed by Abhisek Sharma and comprises of an ensemble stellar lead by the powerful Manoj Bajpayee, the effervescent Diljit Dosanjh and the spontaneous Fatima Sana Sheikh. The movie is set in 1995 and seems to be a spicy and cacophonous joy ride about the travails of a wedding detective Mangal (Bajpayee) and a prospective groom (Diljit).
The Suraj Mangal duo seems to have set the screen on fire with their vivacious energy and impeccable comic timing. Daljit puts in the Punjabi twang to the fullest with some raunchy dialogues and Bajpayee is at ease playing to his strength – his eyes keep speaking as he keeps changing his disguises. The laugh riot seems to hit the right chords with Mangal trying to sabotage Suraj’s efforts in getting married and how they get even with each other. Tulsi played by Fatima Sana Sheikh happens to be Manoj’s sister and also joins the bandwagon as the madness unfolds. Thus, begins the Cat and Mouse game between Mangal and Suraj with Tulsi thrown in-between.
Apart from the brilliant dialogues which have been fabulously written, this family entertainer seems to have its heart in the right place with some aces in all the departments. The casting seems to be impeccable with the likes of Anu Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz and Neha Pendse joining the mad ride. There is also nostalgia ringing in with the foot tapping back-ground score of the 90’s.
The racy trailer is loaded with non-stop entertainment and dollops of juicy one-line hooters that are going to be instantly picked up by the audience. The astro-touch of the leads name seems to be a master stroke by the writers and promises one “helluva” ride into the world of all the crazed-up characters who all seem to lead a diabolical life.
The song “Basanti aaj… kutton ke saamne na naach” is a sure shot chartbuster and sets the mood for the rib-tickling comedy to unfold.
The movie has been produced by Zee studios and is set to the light up the screens, this Diwali
