    Description:

We take great pleasure to announce that after unavoidable delays, we will finally commence the 2nd phase of our adoption cum beautification project tomorrow early morning i.e. on Saturday, 16th December 2017 from 07:30am onwards … Below are the highlights of our programme :

Nature of Project : We will plant the trees (which have been procured all the way from Andhra Pradesh citing soil conditions for Mumbai) and barricade the same for extra protection and to increase its survival rate.

Since it is a working day tomorrow and also since we will be starting the tree 🌲 plantation at around 07:30am..we understand that it might not be able for u to attend. This project is also being held tomorrow since our ENVIRONMENT TEAM will be busy at other spots from Sunday.

However, it would be our pleasure to see each and every one of you at the beautification site to support our project…

We already have the moral support from Sr. Inspector of Mahim Police Station – Shri Milind Eidekar, Sr. Inspector of Traffic Mahim Division – Smt. Neeta Phadke, & Bmc.

Our Corporator (Ward No.190) – Smt Sheetal Gambhir Desai, Ex-Corporator (Ward No.182) – Shri Virendra Tandel, Corporator (Ward No.182) & Chairman of Prabhat Samiti – Shri Milind Vaidya who have supported the opening of our project are also requested to continue to support us in our efforts to make our area clean, green and encroachments free.

An invitation is also being sent to VP BJP Mumbai Pradesh – Shri Vasantrao Jadhav & Ex-Corporator (Ward 182) – Smt. Meena Desai too.

We hope that you all can attend with your friends and family (including your children) as we need to send a very clear signal / message to not only the encroaches who are depriving the pedestrians of their right to safety and right to life, but also all the authorities concerned that we need our footpaths back – clean, green and encroachments free…

Thanks in advance and hope to see all of you tomorrow – Saturday morning 16th December 2017 in large numbers..

We sincerely thank Shri. Swapnil Sonawane of Gaia Foundation and Environmentalist Shri. Subhajit Mukherjee to help us in our beautification program…

Road accidents have taken place right here due to unavailability of walking space on footpath which have sniffed out lives of 35 innocent people (out of approx 150 accidents as per RTI details procured from Mahim Police Station from 2008 until December 2016) check the mess in the footpath (have also shown stalls which have not been re validate) all this in on the entire stretch of footpath outside India Govt Mint Staff Quarters on Senapati Bapat Marg outside Mahim Railway Station West (i.e from Street Pole No.SBM-75 to SBM-93) here are yet as many as 6-8 stalls more on the Mahim station side of footpath after main ticket counter i.e. from Street Pole No.SBM-66 to SBM-70 please quote the recent GR (Govt Resolution) passed by the CM & Urban Minister – Shri. Devendra Fadnavis during the current conclave at Nagpur where he has instructed the BMC to remove all stall from outside railway stations (whether legal or illegal) …which would inconvenience the commuters / pedestrians.also just for your information all that is on the above mentioned footpaths is illegal (as per RTI reply from BMC GN Ward) and there is also a circular of June 2016 from the DMC Removal of Encroachments instructing the Asst Commissioners (Ward Officers) of all 24 wards to file FIRs on repeated offenders who come back to the spot (footpaths) after action is repeated action is taken by BMC, traffic and police.
