Mumbai: BJP Coordinator Anand Manjrekar Appeals All Officers Of Mira Bhayandar Wards To Take Strict Action Against Roadside Vendors And Shops Currently Open Without Permission.
Mumbai: Corona Virus is at the peak. We have to learn to live with Corona. It’s high time now and we should adjust our lives with this pandemic.
Under these crucial situations Hello Mumbai News Team got a chance to interact with BHARTIYA JANTA PARTY (BJP) Corpirator Mr. Anan Manjrekar over a phone call. He shared his experience and spoke about how they have been working since the very first day of lockdown. He said that, they started their work by providing food and essentials to orphanage and babies in their ward. They did a phenomenal job of providing food, sanitizers and masks to the migrant labourers, watchmen of all the societies and tried to arrange transport for them to reach home. They tried their level best. In the initial stage of the lockdown they created awareness amongst people about currently how essential is sanitization for all of us. Everything was possible with the cooperation of BMC. They arranged vegetable vendors for each societies and gave local grocery stores number so that they can just call and get all the essential at their doorsteps and made sure that the people don’t leave their houses unnecessarily, and later when the rains started their 50% of attention moved on drainage and potholes in their ward but doing all the things needed for being safe from the virus. The challenge they faced was controlling the crowd from stepping out and managing the crowd in the markets.
There are 24 wards in Mira Bhayandar. His request to all the ward officers is to take strict action on the roadside vendors and shops which are currently open without permission like fish markets and fruits and vegetables vendor as it creates crowd and people forget about social distancing. This negligence of people can be very dangerous under such circumstances.
When our reporter asked for his view point on migrant workers he said that, it is really sad to have such condition but trying to help as many people they can. He said that the local government and NGO were of a great help and they cooperated a lot but there was no cooperation from the state government.
When asked about any message for people he said that his appeal to people is, “Stay safe take care of yourself follow your daily routine but with proper precautions.”
