Mumbai: Mumbai BJP Corporator Shiv Kumar Oza demands BMC to increase food packet distribution in slum areas
Mumbai: Mumbai Shivkumar Jha, a BJP Corporator from Ward No 23 is carrying out a tremendous job during this lockdown period for the people of his Ward.
But he is upset with BMC, because the the food packet being distributed by them are much insufficient as they are sending only 300 to 400 food packets. On the contrary, we are daily distributing 2000 food packets in our Ward with the help of people gave us donation.
BMC should increase the quantity of food packet in future as insufficient food will be major problem across Mumbai our ward no 23 and being 70 percent slum dominant, will be severely affected.
It’s my sincere appeal to BMC to increase the quantity of food packets.
Speaking with Hello Mumbai News ,Mr.Shiv Kumar Oza said , ‘ “From day one of the imposition of the lockdown, we are on field and have carried out sanitisation six times in our ward and have daily distributed Food , Grocery , essential commodities ,Mask. We are also providing lunch and dinner packets among poor , needy and migrant people .We are also supporting migrants to fill up form and arranging for Medical Certificate .
” I got very good response from all my personal friends across Mumbai who supported me in doing such good deeds. Many community leaders from Gujarathi Samaj, Marwadi Samaj ,Muslim Samaj send us rations and other essential commodities for distributing among the poor and needy people.
I appeal all to STAY HOME STAY SAFE and follow lockdown norms. It’s for sure, very soon, we will come out from this crisis.
