Mumbai: COVID-19 pandemic has brought a new threat and has already battered some countries.
For more than thousands people more so children are living through conflict or in some most fragile places, with limited access to essential services posing a sad daily reality.
The epidemic COID-19 has confined everyone to four walls in their house in pathetic and hapless plight. In this lockdown situation several institution .NGOs and Municipal Corporators have stood to support the poor and needy with essential commodities such has masks and sanitizers as well as food packets.
Speaking to Hello Mumbai News reporter Rishi Baranwal Corporator Mrs.Riddhi Bhaskar Khursange says she has stretched her hands forward in support of the workers and habitats of her wards amid the lockdown.
She affirms that she has installed sanitizer machines in public toilets in the department for the daily use by the citizens. Team of Corona Warriors and Municipal Health Workers are visiting every house in the housing co-operative society and slum department with all the self-defense kits and checking the citizens with thermal guns and plus oximeters. This will help in controlling the number of new Corona patients.
She appeals to Citizens, to congratulate their health workers and Corona Warriors. And also appeals all to stay home and contact the hospital or them immediately if any symptoms are found. Movement only for essential work.
Further, she said that like every year before the onset of monsoon, Dahisar river (Shrikrishna Nagar) gets cleaned by installing J C B and other systems. While inspecting these, along with the Municipal Corporation Officer also the work of cleaning the drains and gutters is going on in the entire department so that the citizens will not have to face hardships in the rain.
