Mumbaikars get ready to vote in BMC Elections 2017

    Asia’s richest civic body and financial capital of the country Mumbai city is ready for Bmc polls 2017. In this Election all  national and regional parties like Congress , BJP, NCP, Shiv Sena , MNS, SP, AIMIM, RPI ,BSP and others are playing major role in this election.

    Congress : 221
    BJP : 211
    Shiv Sena : 227
    NCP: 171
    MNS : 201
    SP: 76
    AMIM : 56
    BSP : 109
    Others and Independent : 717
    Total Candidates: 2,275
    Male candidates : 1,190
    Female candidates : 1, 084
    Third gender : 1 ( from kurla)
    Total Eligible Voters :91,20, 811
    Mumbai City Population ( as per census 2011)
    1,24,42,373 .
    This is the real picture of our city , but you will be surprised In BMC Elections the city has never crossed a voting percentage of 50% .In 2012 the overall percentage was only          44.75% people living in posh area like cuff parade , Malbar hill , Juhu , Pali hill dont take an interest as compare to slum people.
