Renovated PT Mane Garden opened for Public at Nagpada :
P.T. Mane Garden located at Nagpada in South Mumbai has been renovated and beautified at the cost of Rs 3 Crore. The garden was recently opened for public. It was inaugurated by the hands of SP MLA Abu Asim Azmi. This grand inauguration ceremony was attended by Congress MLA Amin Patel, Congress Corporator Javed Juneja and SP Corporator of this Area Rais Shaikh. Many other dignitaries who attended this function included Shabaz Siddiqui, Aziz Makki, Saeed Khan, Shakeel Shaikh, Maulana Athar and many more from South Mumbai. Other famous personalities who graced the inauguration were Zaheer Kazi , Maulana Hafiz Mohd Ather, Ashfaq Ahmed from Khidamat Trust, , and others.
It may be noted local Municipal Councillor Raees Shaikh had approved funds from his own efforts. The major highlight of P.T. Mane garden is that it Mumbai’s First Theme based garden. Speaking to Hello Mumbai News Raees Shaikh said, “The garden is one of the major attractions of Mumbai. It has several amenities that include a huge verity of trees, longest jogging park track across an area of 1.5 Acres, Selfie Point”. He added, “The other key feature of this garden is that it has a study center because this garden has such a huge collection of trees and plants hence it an ideal botanical garden for the students who study Botany.”
Raees Shaikh also appreciated the dedicated work of Aziz Makki and Shabaz Siddiqui. He said, “Due to these two individuals’ hard work and efforts this garden has got a new identity among people. It is well maintained by the Educational Welfare Foundation.”
Meanwhile, Shabaz A.Siddiqui, Vice President of Educational and Welfare Foundation said, “It is one of the best-developed gardens in the city. We are using open space of the garden in multiple ways such as we are running dialysis center at very low cost, health check-up, study center, physiotherapy facilities. computer courses, etc, we also provide free gymnasium to the youngsters, the people belong to the adjoining area like Madanpura, Nagpada, Mumbai central and other parts of south Mumbai come to the garden and enjoy all facilities.”
Mr. Aziz Makki, President of Educational and welfare foundation said, “On this occasion, we are thankful to Raees Shaikh who approved 3 crores for the beautification of the garden. Since we started social and educational activities in P.T Mane Garden, many people have joined us like Khidamat Trust.”
