Cyclone Tauktae has affected more than half of India and badly hit all states on India’s west coast.
Due to this cyclone, Mumbai’s BMC  corporators gave their best to help out the people in need.
One of the most helpful corporator Advocate Santosh Kharat (ShivSena)of ward no 195 Worli helped out the people from his ward who were in need.
Hello Mumbai News Correspondent Janvi S.Panjwani had a conversation with Advocate Santosh Kharat about what safety measures he had taken for his ward during the Cyclone Tauktae.

In which Advocate Santosh Kharat said that, ” First of all Me and my team cutted down all the tress from our ward 71 on 17th May 2021, and on this day due to heavy rains a banyan tree in the field in front of Chawl No.71, fell upon late Sangeeta Kharat and she died.”

Advocate Santosh Kharat further added,” After that on 18th May 2021, in the morning our Environment Minister Worli’s beloved MLA ” Shri Aditya Thackeray” under the guidance of Sachin Ahir , Shiv Sena secretary Suraj Chauhan and in my presence , the initiative collector, Tehsildar, as the panchanama of the spot was done, the family members were met and consoled by us.”

In additional to this Santosh Kharat said, ” On 18th May in evening myself and Shivsainik women’s and male office bearers and activists met the grieving family, and on behalf of whole Shiv-Sena Party, we helped Sangeeta Kharat’s family by giving financial help of worth one lakh ( Rs. 1,00000).”

Later on 21st May 2021, in the afternoon Advocate Santosh Kharat attended “Jaldhan Vidhis” of Sangeeta Kharat, paid tribute and donated financial aid by a cheque of Rs 25,000 .
Also, her family members were assured to get financial help from the government for accidental death as soon as possible.
