Mumbai:With phase-wise relaxation of lockdown restrictions in Maharashtra, and with all efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus and get life back to normalcy and to prevent the spread of Covid 19 at the Family Court, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation launched ‘Rapid Antigen Test from 3rd November for every entrant to the Court.

In accordance to the order of the Hon’ble High Court, all the Family Courts in Maharashtra, the parties and the lawyers have been re-opened to conduct fair proceedings in person.

Apparently, this initiative has been organized as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid 19, and the initiative was inaugurated by Chief Justice Manoj Sharma himself. Other judges present on the occasion, were marriage counselors, managers, Bar Association Secretary Advocate Shraddha Dalvi, Advocates and staff as well as parties who availed the advantage of this initiative by conducting the test.

Further, Chief Justice Manoj Sharma made it known that the trial facility would be available free of cost at the entrance of the court every day. He appealed to all to take advantage of this initiative out of a sense of duty, even if testing is not mandatory as there is possibility of a second wave of Covid 19 epidemic.
