At the recently concluded Karnataka Election, Kaneez Fatima, a single Muslim Congress candidate won the seat from South Gulbarga amongst 9 Muslim candidates.

Minority community in Karnataka are Very postive and love her very much because she is Hijabi Women who always uses Hijab that was also a very burning issue in Karnataka prior to the election.
Kaneez Fatima received 80,977 votes and defeated her BJP opponent Chandrakant Patil.

Now the demand from Minority people to make Kaneez a Cabinet Minister in Karnataka Government, not only comes from Karnataka but also from Maharashtra.

Dr.Haji Zakir Senior Congress leader from Pune Maharashtra while speaking with Hello Mumbai News said,
” it’s an appeal to our party and Rahul Gandhi ji that Kaneez Fatima be inducted in Cabinet because she deserves it. She is second time elected MLA from North Gulbarga and has a strong political family background. Her face in Minority community is very popular and hence should get a berth in the Cabinet Ministry.

Dr.Haji Zakir further appeals to his party that if Kaneez Fatima is honoured, the Minority community people will repose more trust in party’s secularism and ideology. A letter has also been written to the Party recommending Kaneez Fatima’s name as Cabinet Minister.

Know Who is Kaneez Fatima:
She is a powerful political face of Karnataka and loyal to Congress party.She is second time winning candidate from North Gulbarga.Her late husband Qamar Ul Islam  was a senior politician has won many times the MLA portfolio and one time Member of Parliament. He was a Minister in the previous Karnataka Government led by Congress. Kaneez Fatima and her family have strong support from Minority people and a strong presence in Karnataka’s politics.
