    She has consistently ranked highly among the Fertility Specialists in London, New Delhi and Mumbai and is an invited faculty on most of the top Conferences Nationally and Internationally in the Subject Of Reproductive Medicine.

    Education

    Dr. Anu Chawla has several professional accolades to her.

    She has always been offered scholarship seat being in the merit list due to which she did all her medical education in top institutions on free scholarship including her medical graduation MBBS and her  three post graduate degrees in Obstetrics and Gynecology MS,  DNB  and the Membership of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecology MRCOG

    She has been awarded for recognition in her professional excellence at numerous occasions however she considers the biggest award to be those 3000 babies which are the successful outcome of her career of 14 years in advanced Fertility and IVF Practice.

    She was trained in IVF in  EVMS Jones institute Virginia, USA, Lilavati Hospital Mumbai and in Oxford Fertility.

    She also practices the  Gynec Laparoscopic Surgeon for Minimal Invasive Fertility Enhancing Surgeries Like Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy. It is a rare combination that both surgery and IVF is done by the same doctor, and hence this has contributed to not only the great success rates in her treatment outcomes,  but also develops great trust and confidence in the hearts of her patients since they receive a rare privilege of an excellent continuity of care with the same doctor, which is so scarce to get in this day and age.

    Career

    Beginning her career in India, Dr. Chawla worked with the IVF team at the famous Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, started the IVF department at the Fortis Memorial Research Institute at Gurgaon and Delhi.

    She did tremendous work in the region of Kashmir, Punjab , Haryana , Rajasthan , Uttar Pradesh , Gujarat in association with Tribhuvandas Foundation of Amul India and HCL Technologies , to do extremely lost cost treatment in these regions to reach those who can not afford the expensive IVF treatment and still regularly does work for the less previledged sections of societies in India along with her practice currently based out of Central London where she is has become increasingly more popular for helping women conceive in cases of a very common condition of PCOS , the enigmatic disease of Endometriosis found in 15 percent of all women , the modern pandemic of premature ovarian insufficiency , and cases of Recurrent IVF failure.  There is only a tiny number of doctors in the world who practice an advanced treatment called “ Reproductive Immunology “, which can help women with previous miscarriages or failure to obtain a success in the conventional IVF, and Chawla is one of the few doctors who practice this highly specialized technology of very high skill level.

    As an active member for various societies and federations of OBGYN like European society of human reproduction, Federation of bogy societies of India , she has been teaching her peers and taking part in various conferences as the invited faculty.

    Personal Journey

    As a perfect example of an achiever woman standing on her own two feet , a self made woman of substance.

    She is celebrated amongst her peer groups and friends for she represents courage and wit.

    She moved out at a tender age to do higher studies at the best institutions around the world.

    She faced gender bias and major challenging situations in her journey ,  but came out shining even brighter, every time, for she believes that “ Life is never fair, but is only what you make out of it “.

    She is a true believer of hard work and is a lady of faith.

    She came to the UK alone when her practice in Delhi Punjab and Haryana was already soaring and added UK to her plot which is a risk for any practitioner, but she took the risk, because she had a clear vision.

    She believes that only TREES cannot move, human beings are limitless in the true sense and we can do a lot more if we maintain a large as well as focused vision.

    She regularly visits India to maintain availability for women for repeated IVF failures and treats them with a novel technique of “ Mild IVF “ , while she maintains her regular practice at Harley Street in London.

    Memberships and associations

    Anu Chawla is holding an office bearing position at various ART organisations.

    She is also an active member of European society of human reproduction and embryology , British Fertility Society , Fertility Committee of FOGSI, Delhi ISAR , to name a few.

    Innovations

    Dr. Chawla has been recently credited for being instrumental in the application of a very latest technology ,  of the use of Artificial intelligence, in prioritization of embryos and hence decreasing the time to achieve pregnancy whilst minimizing the miscarriages and reducing the negative tests before achieving a successful live birth.

    Propagation of Egg Freezing

    Chawla has been an active campaigner in favour of egg freezing for women , so they can preserve their biological freedom , in case they are not prepared for the child bearing yet.

    Recently , due to the active campaign of many peers , as a result the law has been amended in the UK , regarding egg freezing , in favour of a much longer time span of freezing and hence empowering the women of UK.

    Philanthropy

    Since 2005, she has been associated with Tribhuvandas association In Gujarat and HCL Tech CSR activity group, to do honorary work for the less privileged sections of the society and offer IVF treatments at an extremely low cost. In London, she has been actively involved with YMCA group and the activities of  Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecology for the social causes related to women’s health.
