In our Entrepreneur series today We are introducing you a very dynamic and popular young Independent Photographer of Mumbai and Thane, who is known for her remarkable and outstanding performance in photography who always believes in Women Empowerment. Yes we are talking about Varsha Soni Independent Photographer, she share her entrepreneurial journey with Hello mumbai.com reporter Riddhi Patil
Key Highlights of Varsha Soni’s Entrepreneur Journey:
Varsha Swapnil Soni, is an Independent Photographer, who works as a Creative Head at Momen8 Clickz. A former banker, found her interest in photography 8 years back and left her white collared job to follow her passion.
Speaking to Hello Mumbai, Varsha Says “Having done my masters in Commerce stream, I have started my career in Banking. My husband, being in the VFX industry, had recognised my interest in photography, and gifted me a professional camera on my birthday! From that day my journey in photography began as an aspiring photographer, and one fine day I left my banking job to follow my passion”.
Varsha further added: “Initially, I started my career as a freelance photographer and started taking small orders for birthday, family functions, etc. and started uploading my work on Facebook. Recognising my work from there, I got a chance to associate with OnQue – An event management company managing many Bollywood events, and shot some events with them like Filmfare, Zee Cine Awards, Mirchi Music Awards, etc. This work for Bollywood events gives me a broad audience and recognition”.
Meanwhile, I had met Mr. Swapnil Shahane, a friend of my husband and Owner of Purplewings-Storyteller, who approached me to assist him with his clients and business. After associating with him, I had started exploring different fields of industry like Wedding, Product, Industrial, Architectural, Fashion Photography as well as developed my skills in the business management area like client communication, event and resource planning, budgeting which builds my foundation to become an entrepreneur. But after associating with PurpleWings for around 5-6 yrs, I am still not ready to start a business on my own due to some unknown fear, until I met Mrs.Purnima Shirishkar of Zep Udyogini, who provided me with a good platform and inspired me to become an independent professional. Also She helped me get my first independent industrial shoot for SRV Realtech.
