    In our Social Entrepreneur series today We are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Social Entrepreneur of Chopda for her remarkable and outstanding performance in social  field particular in Inner Wheel Club  who always believes in Women Empowerment and social entrepreneurship . yes we are talking about Mrs. Poonam Ashish Gujarathi, President Inner Wheel Club of Chopda, Dist 303, she shared her Service and Charity Project with Hello Mumbai News Reporter Sejal Bhise.

    Brief Introduction of International Inner Wheel :

    International Inner Wheel  is an international women’s  Social organisation to create friendship, service and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. IWC has very strong presence in India. It has more than 3000 thousands clubs in Urban and rural India. Since the Covid 19 Pandemic breaks out Inner wheel club launched charity campaign worldwide. In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this Episode we are introducing very popular face of IWC, she doesn’t need any kind of Introduction.

    When we pin up our shoulders with Innerwheel pin as a member of this
    International social organization. We all feel very proud however at the same time, it's
    our responsibility to serve down trodden of the society. It's our responsibility to work
    for the upliftment of women and children in all respect. This year I got the opportunity
    to lead the Innerwheel club of Chopda as a president with your support from the day
    one. We have organised number of social projects like tree plantation, guidance seminar
    for parents about the about the prevention of child below 5 years from corona
    pandemic, free medical check up camp for children, blood donation camp,
    Swayamsiddha Abhiyan- Karate training workshop for girl students, celebrated teachers
    day with the teachers of BMC, celebrated Kargil Vijay Din. We also provided relief fund
    and resources to the people of Konkan at the time of flood disaster, took a seminar on
    Digitalization for Bachat Gat Mahila, distributed trees for planting in the campus of all

    schools of Chopda, conducted competition of Tilak speech and Vitthal Rakhumai dress
    up for children, celebrated friendship day with club members, took the seminar on
    importance of breast feeding for the pregnant and just delivered mothers of Satrasen
    Aadivasi village, free medical check up camp for pregnant ladies, picnic with IWC
    members seminar on Sanjeevani life beyond cancer. Celebrate 15 August and felicitated
    Army people, solo patriotic song competition for children, celebrate Raksha Bandhan
    with the children orphanage. We took a mega entrepreneurship fair for employment,
    celebrated Mangalagaur with the members, took a workshop of 4 days of Shadu
    Mati/Clay Ganpati making, Tambaku Mukt Abhiyan through puppet show at Chahardi
    village, lightening program with nursing students who gave service in the hospitals in
    corona pandemic, awarded best lady teacher from all schools and colleges, guidance
    lecture for the girls of orphanage for their health and hygiene, free medical check up
    camp for the old-age people, distributed basic medical kids to all old-age people, took a
    wonderful first North Zonal Meet Garba meet, organized a drawing competition on
    empty bottles giving the subject of STREE SHAKTI, inaugurated the cloth bags made by
    ladies taking in mine ‘Say no to plastic’, distributed the books to poor and needy
    students of 12th standard, organised a dental medical check up camp for the children,
    donated a ladies cycle to a very poor and needy girl, distributed woolen clothes and
    other close to the Adivasi people of Borajanti, took a good handwriting competition for
    small children, hosted the banners in the school guiding the importance of taking care in
    Corona, took 10 free dental operations of poor and needy students, took Inter School
    drawing competition on kites giving them the theme of 75th year of independence.
    These are some of the projects we have done with the teamwork. These are only
    the few but not the last. We have to do much more for society. We tried to be SHEROES
    as well said by our beloved associate Association President Sarojji Katiyar. We have to
    work more we have to help more to be PINK FIRST. And I strongly believe to be a Pink
    First, empowerment of woman is must. If we ensure woman’s participation, equal

    opportunities for the leadership at all levels of decision making in political, economic
    and life. And for that women should be get power of movement power of muscle and
    power of money.
    In this era of our life Global Warming is the big question mark of our future. We
    must work hard on climate change. As well said by our District Chairman and pride of
    our club Ashwini Gujarathi. We are working on water harvesting and empowerment of
    women.
    I am very happy to say that we all 35 members came together as a family enjoyed
    together as a friends and work together as a team. And that took our Inner Wheel Club
    of Chopda on the heights in our District-30. We enjoyed hosting District Conference
    ANANNYA 2021 which itself bedame a landmark.

    Key Highlights of Service Project :

    Project 1 :

    (S) Stree Shakti – Swayamsiddha Abhiyan & Karate Training
    BMC’s College of Social Work, Chopda in collaboration with IWC Chopda organized the most need base project in todays world that is Stree Shakti. We organized Online Karate Training for Young Girls & Women for making them independent and confident. This Swayam Siddha Abhiyan & Karate Training was organized for 7 days in the morning 8.00 to 9.00 am. 75 participants took the advantage of it.

    Project 2 :

    (S) Stree Shakti – Women Entrepreneurship

    Huge Entrepreneurship Fair with Peoples Co-operative Bank Seva Trust, NCP Chopda & BMC 60 companies from all over Maharashtra. 4500 to 5000 students (Girls & Boys) had come to give the interview. Near about 1500 girls were the part of it and opted for the job. Best project for women employment under one roof.

    Project 3 :

    (H) HEALTH – Medical Checkup Camp for Pregnant Ladies & Celebrating World Breast Feeding Week- 1st to 7th August

    Project 4 :

    (H) Health – Free Dental Medical Operation

    We took free Dental Medical Operations of 15 very poor & needed students, from 5th & 6th standard. Operation costed near about Rs. 1 Lac. Operation were done by Dr. Shekhar Warke 7 Dr. Niraj Potdar.

    Project 5 :

     (E) Earth Care  – Tree Plantation  & Parenting of plants

    All the district officers of  IWC and club members of IWC Chopda and the prestigious people from the Chopda city planted the trees in the campus of College of Social Work, Chopda. 25 trees were planted.

    Where there is a school, there should be Trees, was the motto of this project. Giving parenting of the 5 plants each to all the schools of Chopda City. Programme organized in Bhagini Mandal’s School. 2 Representative from 12 schools had come

    Project 6 :

    (E) Earth Care  – Workshop of Ganpati Making

    IWC of Chopda took a workshop of 3 days of making eco-friendly Shadu Mati (Clay) Ganpati at Bhagini Mandal. 3 Kg. Shadumati was given free by IWC Chopda

    Project 7 :

    (O) – OLDAGE HOME

    Medical Checkup Camp for Old-age Home & Distribution of Medical Kit to Old-age Home

    We took a very needbase project of distribution of basic medical kit in Vele  for the people of old age home for solving their basic health problems.  They were also felicited by giving them a shawl, fruits , rajgira laddu and chikki. Dr. Vandana Patil and Dr. Kanchan Tillu examined them and prescribed them the medicines required.

    Project 8 :

    (O) – ORPHANAGELecture on Health & Hygiene for girls & Celebrating Rakshabandhan with Anathashram Children of Vele

    Today’s project No. 1 was based on the theme of SHEROES (H- HEALTH AND O-ORPHANAGE). A guidance lecture to the girls in teenage of orphanage of Vele regarding health and hygiene. Dr. Kanchan Tillu and Dr. Vandana Patil guided them.

    Celebrating Rakshabandhan with Anathashram Children of Vele. 60 boys of Anathashram  were tied Rakhis by all IWC members. 110 girls from Anathshram were also present for Rakshabandhan Programme.     Project 9 :

    (E) E-Learning

    Women Entrepreneurs (Bachatgat)

    Seminar on Digitalization for ‘Bachat Gat Mahila’ at Bhagini Mandal Hall, Chopda.  Mr. Salim Tadvi (Mahila Vibhag Vyavasthapak), Ms. Poonam Patil (Mahila Vibhag Lekhapal), Mr. Pavan Lodhe (ICICI Bank) & Mr. Kushal Gujarathi (Computer Head) guided on the subjects – Online Bank Bharana, RTGS, Timely Payment of Installment Law, Micro Finance & their profits & losses, NEFT, etc.

    Project 10 :

    (E) Eradication of Social Evils

    IWC of Chopda in collaboration with BMC’s College of Social Work took big project on Eradication of Social Evils by projecting through a Puppet Show at Chahardi a small village near Chopda. It was held in the center of main chowk of Chahardi. So that all the peoples passing through were attracted to see the show. It was raining heavily that day still we continued with the project by carrying our umbrellas and we had a great unexpected response from the public inspite of rain.

    Collection & Donation of Woolen Clothes

    Collection & Distribution of Woolen Clothes & Other Clothes to Adivasi People of Borajanti Village. Most needbase project for Winter Season.

    North Zonal Meet

    IWC of Chopda organized NORTH ZONAL MEET AT CHOPDA on 16/10/2021. Enlighten of the lamp with the hands of all IW dignitaries and following the pink first with SHEROES theme. Prize distribution of GARBA COMPETITION with the hands of all dignitaries. Welcome of all INNERWHEEL DIGNITARIES AND GUESTS BY IWC OF CHOPDA.

    Inner wheel District 303 one of the most important District of Inner wheel in Maharashtra which covers North Maharashtra and Vidarbha Region. It covers many big cities and districts of Maharashtra such as Nasik, Jalgaon, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Wardha and Chandrapur etc. This District performed well during this difficult time of Pandemic. All clubs did many charity work projects for pandemic affected people in rural areas of Maharashtra.
