Hello Mumbai News Entertainment Desk :

In our Entertainment Inspiring Actress series of Marathi Film Industry. Today we are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Actress of Marathi Industry who is known  for her remarkable and outstanding performance in the field of Entertainment who always believes in Women Empowerment. Yes we are talking about Nilangi Revankar, she shares her Entertainment (Television, Bollywood) journey with Hello Mumbainews.com reporter Janvi S. Panjwani

An actress by profession. Have mainly worked in the Marathi industry. Have been around for quite some time.

Even as a teenager, I always dreamt about being an actress. But was too shy to express it to anyone. Also dint know from where to begin. Then I attended an acting workshop by Jaydev Hattangady. So I guess my acting journey started from there. And like they say once an actor always an actor.

Later I continued with amateur Marathi theatre and dabbled in Hindi theatre as well. Then I was selected for a Marathi professional play “Eka talyat hoti” which was directed by the very talented director Milind Pednekar of ‘Golpeetha’ fame.

The first time I faced the camera was in Pankaj Kapoor’s serial Mohandas BA LLB. Continued with other roles in serials like Sachin’s Ek do teen, Balajis, koi Apna sa and kahani Ghar ghar ki.

After that I did get some good work in Marathi serials Damini, Bandini, Char diwas sasuche.

Even as I did music, acting was always my first love and continued giving auditions.A couple of years back I did a Marathi feature film Trushart wherein I played a negative character. My friends would tell me, my persona would never suit a negative character. But I managed to surprise them.

But then there was a phase where I did not get much work so switched to editing and did background music for serials like Hya Gojirwanya Gharat, Kunku, Kaata Rutey Kunala. Gujarati serials like Sathiya ma ek rang ochho, Ek phool khile che aag ma.

Recently I shot for a Marathi feature film”online Shaala” which has an interesting topic just like the name suggests.
Have recently just completed dubbing for a Hindi feature film “The Anaesthetist” which will be soon released on OTT platform.

My short films list includes
“The latest download”
“The weaker sex”
“Ulzhi Latein”
” 21 days” This movie was the official selection for the Britflix lockdown film festival

Soon I’ll be shooting for the film “Kaara” which is a social awareness film. Looking forward to do this film and looking forward to do much more work in the industry.
