Hello Mumbai News:

Could you Introduce yourself for our readers?

Sandhya Atram :
Hello, I’m Sandhya Atram, a postgraduate in Arts from Nagpur University and a graphic designer.
I’ve transitioned into a social entrepreneur and currently lead the Business Process Outsourcing unit within Maya CARE Foundation.

Hello Mumbai News:
What Inspired to start your Business.

Sandhya Atram :
The critical situation caused by COVID-19 in 2020 led to severe financial difficulties for many, particularly for persons with disabilities who faced limited job opportunities. Despite the expectations of relevant skills and experience from employers, I found myself in a challenging situation. However, during this time, Maya CARE provided me with an opportunity to lead a vaccination project. Successfully managing this project, which involved vaccinating 1200 elderly individuals across 18 cities in India, instilled in me a sense of achievement and motivation.
This achievement inspired me to embark on the journey of leading a business process outsourcing unit. I was driven by the desire to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs) like myself. I began by reaching out to corporations, offering to handle their backend work. Through training and mentoring other PWDs, I ensured that tasks were complete defficiently and on time. This experience ignited my passion for entrepreneurship and reinforced my belief in the capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
