MEET SUKHI BANSAL – THE TELEVISION PRODUCER/DIRECTOR WHO IS TRYING TO CHANGE THE FACE OF BRITISH TV

Sukhi is a Senior Producer/Director and Casting Exec with 15 years experience in making primetime Factual entertainment and reality tv shows. She also Series Produced 2 seasons of the first ever Asian constructed reality series “Desi Rascals”

She has Produced and Directed on a wide range of programmes including Naked Beach (C4), Seven Year Switch (C4) The Apprentice (BBC1), Undercover Boss (C4) Sugar Free Farm (ITV) Nev’s Indian Call centre (W) The Only Way is Essex (E4) Celebs Go Dating (E4) Jack and Dani – life after love Island (ITV) Big Brother (C4), Come Dine With Me (C4), The One Show (BBC) etc. On the ground Sukhi has vast experience in producing talent ranging from Celebrities, MP’s, Royalty, Reality stars and Presenters

Sukhi’s casting credits include – Kilroy, Wife Swap, Cilla Black Live, The Joan Rivers Position, Britain’s Next Top Model, Asbo Teen to beauty queen, The Singing Estate, Freaky Eaters, Secret Princes, Jamie Oliver’s Dream School, Don’t Tell The Bride, Undercover Boss, The Apprentice, Come Dine With Me, Big Brother, Towie, Desi Rascals, Celebs Go Dating, Naked Beach, Hot property, Heartbreak Holiday, 7 Year switch , Extreme Love and many more.

Sukhi was born and raised in Bedfordshire and studied Drama and Television at university in London. Growing up within a punjabi household Sukhi experienced the best of both worlds and has a good blend of East and western values. Sukhi currently lives in west london with her husband Chatan and son Tiger. As a British Indian female producer/director working in a predominantly white middle class industry Sukhi feels strongly about the need for diversity, which is why she has launched Sukhi B Casting which will specialise in representing people from different ethnic backgrounds, the LGBTQIA+ community and people with disabilities – so they all have access to primetime television opportunities. Sukhi’s aim is to change the face of British tv!
