What we are doing to the nature around us is the reflection of what we are doing to ourselves. We’ve never had a better chance to make a greener world. Covid-19 has delivered unusual environmental benefits: cleaner air, lower carbon emissions, a respite for wildlife. Now the big question is whether we can capitalise on this ???
She emphasises that as environment communicator she has launched the drive I AM ECO WARRIOR a co learning platform for eco friendly and sustainable practices. Her talk series LASI TALK: THE ECO AND ECO DESING SERIES (Learn, Act, Share, Inspire) has rolled 13 episodes till 7th Aug 2020. So far 28 Eminent speakers has shared their wisdom, views, taught and solved queries of participants with respect to gardening, composting, farming, toxin free living and sustainable clothing.
In Monsoon 2020 through her these initiatives she is trying her best to educate people on how they can mange and multiply their garden and inspires others to do so. In her role as Director Environment of Rotary Club Asmita of Ahmedabad and as Project Chair she motivated all and has so far from July 1st 2020 had given 6500 fruiting + 115 Banyan trees for adoption and plantation encouraging individual city dwellers, villagers, residential society, schools, factory, resort and farmhouse owners to take care of them and contributing for green world.
She herself prepares 500 saplings from cutting, grafting and seed germination and gives them for adoption. She believes in planting along with chanting of MahraMritunjay Mantra are planted in and around Ahmedabad with a belief that this creates a positive green environment for all generations to come.
She Further says that in the LAST TALK THE ECO SERIES: EPISODE 14 Let’s Welcome Ganesha and Bye Bye to Covid-19 by staying at home by making our own clay Ganesha and let’s hand over our anxiety, fear, insecurity and negative emotions to self-crafted Ganesha and request him to immerse it in the universal solvent Water along with Visarjan.
These are the times for everyone to show that you really care for the environment and you contribute to a safer environment by making your own clay idols, which are not only eco-friendly, but traditionally it is the right way to do it. It adds spiritual and devotional value to our pooja and offerings. Clay idols symbolizes the spirituality and simplicity of Indian culture. On 14th August around 300+ participants learnt online and made Ganesha ji.
Adding on she had done other donations too and help Needy people. She gives a message to the people – Live and Let Live. Create an stress free environment for themselves and for others.
