    Shanti Chauhan, doesn’t let Migrant Workers Sleep on Empty Stomach, helped more than 5500 families amid Covid-19 induced lockdown till date

    Mumbai: Shanti Chauhan is a name to reckon with. Amid this Covid-19 induced lockdown, she surged forward to help more than 5500 families with 22000 individual, till date.

    Sharing her experience with Hello Mumbai News Team over phone, she said it all started with a distress call from her friend Ajaya on the night on March 27th,2020. that there, are many people held up in the city amid lockdown and without a meal for the entire day. whole day. The people comprised the aged people, kids, and women who where migrant workers from Telengana, Andhra Pradesh.

    Initially, she was devoid of any idea acquire ration and the quantity needed for an individual. Thereafter, with the help of a person name Raju she got it how to give a ration and then a journey starts to help needy in this difficult time.

    Till date she have provided more than 40 tones of food to 5500 families. The food included wheat flour, tea, sugar, salt, rice.And she have also provided some necessary things like marks and shops.

    She have provided food in Goregaon, 4 Bungalow, Versova, Bandra (East) & (west), Masjid Bunder, Kandivli (East) & (west) Andheri (East) &(West), Mahalakshmi, Dharavi, Aksa beach, Ghatkopar, Malad, and Borivali.

    2500 people were provided shelter, cooked meals, sufficient ration and basic sanitation form March 27th,2020.

    She have almost covered whole Mumbai and helped people in every possible way.
    She have also given food packets to the people who were going back to there hometowns.

    She says this was impossible without the help of government as when ever she needs any kind of help she got that form Maharashtra government.
    And she appreciates Maharashtra government for working for people in every possible way.
