Lioness District Development Coordinator Prema. R. Shukla shares the Team’s experience and work with Hello Mumbai News Team amid lockdown.
Mumbai: The outbreak of Coronavirus and the Covid-19 induced lockdown has heavily impacted financial hub Mumbai in the past few months.
Pathetically, the business sector is reeling through its worst phase.
This critical situation gave an opportunity to the universally recognized Lions Club to undertake the arduous task to step forward to help poor and needy. The Club’s Team members are continuously on their toes and carrying out their extraordinary job in trying to fight and break the chain of the virus.
The Club scattered across the country, are into their Charity drive and have always stepped up to serve the poor and needy. They have never faltered in their services on humanitarian grounds. Even on occurrences of grim situations, they have never stepped behind. This is the charisma of the Lions Club.
Prema also made it known that they had conducted Anaj daan in the month of May and June and are now accomplishing it by reserving Anaaj in her house. She proudly distributed more than 4000 bottles of Arsenic Album 30 homeopathic medicine as an immunity booster at free of cost was disseminated in the same month from her daughter in law Dr. Priti’s Clinique in Chembur, in association with Lions Club of Sion (District 3231 A1) in which her son is functioning and Lions Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar Galaxy ( District 3231 A2).
Their distribution to the Lions, via various people in varied Localities, like Sion, Chembur, Pratiksha Nagar, Kamraj Nagar, Antophill, Dharavi benefitted the prevailing additional 4000 families.Lion sanjeet shukla from Sion Club also played key role in this charity project.
Anaaj packet was also als allocated to Pratiksha Nagar aiding 100 families.

In the D.G.’s Newsletter – Darpan, she was k in the Governing Council, and had served as Region Coordinator (GST) Region 2 Home Club, Lions Club of Mumbai Ghatkopar, Galaxy District 3231(A2) before the new lionistic year.
Meanwhile, she instructs people to stay strong, stay home and stay safe. When stepping out to maintain social distancing, wear mask, wash hands, and subsequently notify people to help the downtrodden people in the society.
