So here how you can prepare *Roasted Raan Masala* at your home only this Bakra Eid.
Roasted Raan masala recipe is prepared by using whole leg of lamb which is been slited with a sharp knife..Marinated with all the spices and natural meat tenderiser raw papaya and lime juice and kept in fridge for overnight so that masala is well marinated and coated on Raan.It can be roasted in oven and as well as on a pan and served with flavoured rice, roasted potatoes and lots of crunchy salad
Lamb leg approx 1 kg
Half cup curd
3 tsp of raw papaya paste
3tsp roasted cumin(jeera) powder
4tsp roasted coriander(dhania)seed powder
2tsp garam masala powder
4tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp turmeric(haldi)powder
2 whole lemon juice
2tbs ginger garlic paste
Salt as per ur taste
Method:Wash Raan nicely and slit it from both the sides.Take a bowl add all the above ingredients mix well and marinate lamb leg(Raan) on both sides cover it with aluminium foil or clingflim and keep in refrigerator for overnight about 8 to 9 hours..next day in a pan add 2 to 3 tbs oil and place the marinated Raan in pan add 1 cup of water and cover the lid..turn and cook it nicely for 30 minutes each sides..when it is perfectly tender take
It out without side masalas and keep it on a preheated pan which is greased with oil let it roast for 2 to 3 minutes on each sides and Roasted Raan Masala is done..dish out Raan and masala which was cooked along with it in pan..serve it separately in a bowl..enjoy
