Mumbai Kokani Mela began today The Mela will be for two days .Today is the first day
The much awaited Kokani Mela and Food Festival was inaugurated today, Saturday 18th January 2020 by the hands of Educationist and Anjuman islam president, Zaheer kazi at 
Saboo Siddik College ground.
At the occasion Zaheer Kazi said , Our main motive is to unite our konkani community through this platform as community people will come together its an unique concept to bring all Konkanis in one platform.
A well- Known Qatar based Businessman Hasan A.K.Chougle who attended this festival of colours
,said ” first of all I congrats to all they organised this Konkni Mela which is very well organized . it’s a good initiative to promote our Konkani Culture and Tradition .
Dr.Aziz Sawant Chairman , Konkani Community forum and one of the organiser committee Member said, ” Mumbaikars will get access to all the konkani food, masalas and many more in this Konkni Mela.
The very purpose for organizing the function is to promote Konkani Culture , Tradition and Tourism . We got very good response in this Mela and Food festival .
Imran Alvi active member of Kokni Forum and Sameena did very good anchoring to introduce all brands and stall during Exhibition.
