SIES College of Commerce & Economics to celebrate Annual Event with a new theme “Fantasies; Diverse-City; A Cultural Symphony” in December 2019
It has been a 21 years since the SIES College of Commerce & Economics celebrated FANTASIES even as having come into existence with lot of ups and downs coupled with incredible memories.
This year too it would be celebrating its annual function in December and the preparations are under way in full bloom. Notably a new team, with a new theme and lots of determination are working hard to make the annual event a grand success.
This year, the institution is striving to enliven the spirit of the event – FANTASIES in clustering an important aspect of lives around the global culture with the theme as
“Fantasies: Diverse-City; A Cultural Symphony”
The entire world could be considered as a multi-faceted city, with Cultures being the influence in tbe lives of the people. It is not only restricted to customs, beliefs traditions or actions; but to Music, Dance, Fine and Literary Arts and Cuisines that help to communicate it and unite people.
Reflecting this, the city of Mumbai too is not only the city of dreams, but also a host to myriad cultures. Remarkably, the Gateway has welcomed trade and exchange and not restricting it only to goods but also various aspects of culture. This intermingling has had a predominant mpact on one’s life in our city.
Be it on the Western and Asian influences on working environment and education or Indian influence abroad with Bollywood and spice filled food; interestingly, they have mixed and glittered through the way of life in the city. Each one has found a different way of blending together.
This year, SIES has chosen a theme which highlights our core purpose- of being a cultural festival, with an aim to blend and celebrate cultures from around the world. Each one of them is somewhere, somehow connected to the other. We are privileged to have the objective of highlighting this, not only by bringing them together but by trying to instill a feeling of kinship among all and enjoying as one unit.
Alien in physicalities, beliefs and mind- but connected in our life through our cultures and the city of dreams.
