Needless to mention that Konkan people are festive by nature. Their love for celebration is deeply ingrained in their culture and it finds expression through the various occasions on the Maharashtrian calendar. People cherish the good times with music, dance and delectable food.

North Konkan Chamber of Commerce celebrated a grand festival of cultural, trade and food ‘North Konkan Festival’ for three days at Borivali West Mumbai from Fri 13 to 15 January, 2023 .

Notably, more than 100 stalls were put up that exhibited the different regional handicraft items , North Konkan delicacies and services of Resort Owners .

Reportedly, at the celebration, there were regional cultural shows including Tarpa, Vadval Dance performances and traditional songs in local languages. It received tremendous and overwhelming response from more than 10000 visitors amid this extravagant Konkan Festival.

Dr Deepak Chaudhari, President of the Chamber informed the Chamber always strive for betterment of entrepreneurs, traders and farmers of the North Konkan Region and this festival embodied the regional culture , delicacies and trade which was loved by all visitors.

Amid this festival, selected achievers in different field were honoured with NORTH KONKAN ACHIEVER AWARD to motivate and encourage others to accomplish success in their respective fields.

Dr Deepak Chaudhari received several requests from stall holders and visitors to organise such festivals every year thus ensuring that the Chamber will definitely plan next year if all goes well.

Excellent planning , unique regional delicacies like ravali, potendi, ukadhandi , muthe etc were in high demand and sold like hot cakes and unique art facts also was very much demanded.

The festival on the whole left an indelible mark following the visitor’s appreciation to the celebration of the festival and the delicacies served.
