A unique course from an even more unique NGO
An NGO called WOMEN’S MOVEMENT FOR PEACE & PROSPERITY(to the planet) was launched about 15 years back by a group of professional women(along with few men)to harness and leverage the power of woman’s compassion..to bring PEACE & PROSPERITY to society. The idea was to unleash the compassion among millions of voice less women. The 2 taglines..GIVE VOICE TO VOICELESS WOMEN and LET COMPASSION PREVAIL are the vision stmts.
They plan to connect with mothers of less privileged school children. They have agreed to do 10 schools of Anjuman I Islam chain..with the help of another ngo called PARISAR ASHA..an ngo working in the education field to improve quality of education since 1982 in more than 2000 schools,all over India.
The ‘voice’ is given thru health,education/vocation and general wellness sessions.
Recently they completed 2 health sessions with 70-80 mothers and this satuday is the TESTING CAMP where Saifee Hospital along with Rotary are bringing in 5 sr doctors from Saifee along with 17 medical assistants to operate various testing equipment for cbc,sugar,Lipid profile,etc for nearly 150 mothers, FREE OF COST.
The initiative has been much appreciated by the Anjuman I Islam management as expressed by their President Dr Kazi , their Chairman Begum Rehana, their Principal Mrs Zeba and others. Ms Aarati Savur Ceo Parishar Asha and Mr Ram Maheshwary Mg Trustee WMPP are confident of completing their target of 8 more MOTHERS’scentres in the coming 6 m..insha allah !
