Bharat Bandh Gives Jitters to BJP! CM Devendra Fadnavis Now Bats For Electric Vehicles!
The BJP government is in a tight-spot over increasing prices of petrol and diesel. The Bharat Bandh sponsored by Congress and other opposition’s parties has made the situation worse for the ruling government. Hence in a bid to divert public fury over hike in petrol/diesel prices the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has cunning tried to divert people’s attention from fuel to electric vehicles!!
Addressing at the Niti Ayog in New Delhi, Fadnavis revealed the government’s new strategy for sustainable transport mobility. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Our government has begun many projects to address the challenge of hiking fuel prices and the best solution to control fuel price is to introduce electric public vehicles.”
He informed that Maharashtra is the first state in India that framed the electric vehicle policy and offered gigantic concession to the manufacturers. “We approximately require 40,000 electric vehicles to transform the face of public transport; however, in phase one, our government has orders 1800 vehicles. Out this Mumbai will have 1,000, Pune (500) and Nagpur (300). Our government has also guaranteed to lower the rates from Rs 6 to 4 per unit for electric vehicles.
It may be noted that the Bharat Bandh has truly given BJP jitters; Hence BJP is truly trying to deceive the Indians. While some states are pondering on introducing GST but Narendra Modi and his team are aware that if GST is implemented on fuels then the majority of money generated by the government through a huge tax on fuels will put brakes on the countries economics and the declining rupee will depreciate drastically hence in order to switch public attention for petrol the BJP government is now showing the Aam Adami the new dream of electric vehicles!!!!
