The world Environment Day was celebrated on 5th of June across the world. The island city Mumbai also took part in the celebration particularly Bmc and it’s “E” ward in Byculla.
The world Environment day was organised at Byculla by the good intentions and great efforts of Mr. Kishor Rajaram Desai Asst Municipal Commissioner of “E” ward.
” Raising awareness on emerging environment issues marine pollution and global warming is must , our intention to encourage people throughout the world to care for the environment and raise awareness on a number of issues including climate change biodiversity marine pollution wild life protection and sustainable consumption. “, Said Kishor Rajaram Desai on the occasion of the function.
The main highlight of the function was tree plantation, Beatification of the garden, pay and Toilet was also anugrated. The chowk name “Gana Charya Chowk” was also anugrated at N.M.Goshi Marg. (Freedom fighter).
On this great occasion Municipal Councillor Mrs. Surekha Rohidas Lokhande , BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar , DMC Zone 1 Karvande and all staff of Maintenance of the E ward also present.
