Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr one of the most significant festivals tomorrow, 25 May after a month-long fasting from sunrise to sunset.

Hello.Mumbai News reporter Syed Nazia took the opportunity to rope in Iqbal Memon, President, All India Memon Jamat Federation on Eid eve to get his candid views and  message to all the Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr amid lockdown.

Iqbal  Memon said, it is his whole-hearted appeal to all the Muslims out there to wear old simple clothes and not to go on for new clothes. Instead, to utilize the money to help someone in dire need of it. That is “humanity”.

He also affirmed that instead of locating a moon, to find a house where you can light , find a house that you can light with happiness because that is the real celebration of Eid of a good human being and a true Muslim . He also stated that the differences between caste system should be erazed from one’s mind and one need to come together to be united and celebrate Eid together..

Its high time we celebrate this one Muslim festival in different days. way. He further said that we all should be united, because one it is one religion one God .

It’s his firm belief which he shared with Hello.Mumbai News that Eid doesn’t need a lavish celebration and happiness doesn’t come by spending on self.

True virtue is by making others happy .The ones who are blessed with everything should be merciful and generous and celebrate Eid in a way that others can celebrate too. Its time to be selfless, time to actually be human. its time we all unite and help everyone in coming out of this crisis .

He also makes an humble request to all the Muslims that instead of decorating their houses, to find a home which is dark and paint it with happiness and joy , and to spread the values of brotherhood and unity among everyone. When we do sajda do one God. Why differentiate caste? He urges everyone to leave behind issues of the past and caste and together make a future for all , where everyone is equal ,everyone is loved .Ameen.
