To begin with,
As soon as the lockdown was announced corporator Alpa Ashokbhau Jadhav contacted the citizens who had travel history but were not detected with Covid 19. They were suggested to remain in Home quarantine. The guidelines given by the Government were explained to the citizens. A stamp mark was placed on their hand for the awareness of other citizens.
She then began Door to Door checking facility for those citizens who had come in contact with people having travel history. This helped curb the spread of Corona Virus in the ward.
Precautionary and effective preventive measures were taken by her keeping in mind the guidelines by the Government
Sanitisation of all public places was done to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.
Sanitisation of roads was done with the help of Fire brigade and trained sanitisation team.
Daily sanitisation of all the public toilets is being done by the Corporator Alpa Ashokbhau Jadhav in her ward.
Taking things a step further for the safety of the citizens of her ward Alpa Ashokbhau Jadhav started arranging the following:
-Free fever check up clinic. Testing fr Covid 19.
-Free Medical Van check up with the help of Oximeter Thermal Gun.
-Blood Pressure check up. -Diabetes Check up.
-Door to Door check up of patients.
These services were continuously arranged by her on regular basis for the citizens of ward 65.
Doctors specially trained for Corona Covid 19 testing with their team were called for testing patients.
This helped to control the spread of Corona virus in the ward.
Various such clinics and initiatives were arranged at Gilberthill area, Tape village, Amboli, Ceaser Road, Patrewali chawl, Dawoodbagh, Mhatarpada.
Three Quarantine Centres with the help of Ward Officer were set up in ward 65 At PWD hostel Jankibai Hall and Recreation Club
These centres are currently equipped and functioning as a Quarantine facility for the Covid 19 patient.
Besides this as a social responsibility Alpa Ashokbhau Jadhav is Daily providing 2000 Ready to Eat Food Packets for the senior citizens, daily wage workers and those who have lost their job and citizens who are unable to buy food supply.
Besides this the Corporator has personally seen to it that all the Rationing Shops in her ward are providing the citizens with adequate and quality supply of Food grains.
Rice 3 Rupees per kg and Wheat 2 Rupees per kg is being given at Rationing shops. In addition to this 5 kg Rice Per Person is given Free of cost via Rationing shops.
