Mumbai: Mumbai Dharavi patient, aged 56 years who tested positive died early morning today at the Sion Hospital after being diagonised with Coronavirus.
This is the seventh death related to Covid-19 in Maharashtra today.
As per medical Reports, the he had symptoms like fever, cough, respiratory issues and also had the co-morbid condition of renal failure.
He had no travel history and ran a garment shop in the Dharavi area.
The Dr Baliga Nagar SRA Society, where the patient lived consisting of about 300 flats and 90 shops, has been completed sealed after the diagnosis was confirmed. All high-risk contacts have been stamped and quarantined. “No one is allowed come out till the test results of all high-risk contacts come according to Kiran Dighavkar, G (north) ward officer.
Samples from his family members and building neighbours have been sent for testing. Authorities have said that all senior citizens and those with respiratory illnesses in the Baliga Nagar area will be tested for coronavirus.
To ensure day-to-day life is not disrupted by the sealing, food and ration will be provided to the building by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
With the Dharavi Covid-19 patient’s death, Maharashtra has reported a total of seven deaths in one day. Of the seven deaths, six have been reported from Mumbai.
