Rotary Club of Bombay carrying out daily cooked meal program for needy ones

Mumbai: The Rotary Club of Bombay is one of the pioneers in India of the rotary movement, devoted to the ideal of Fellowship through service. It was founded on March 19, 1929. Most clubs in Dist 3140 can trace their roots to the Rotary Club of Bombay. The Club offers a stimulating fellowship based on a fascinating diversity of interests in business, arts, sciences, and the professional expertise of Its members.

From the very beginning, the pulse of Rotary has been and always will be Community Service. Today the Rotary Club of Bombay has diversified its activities through the work of over fifty committees constituted to look after the various avenues of service. The Club has been able to attempt several service programs only because of generous donations of time and money by the members.

Feeding Program by this club “The Rotary Club of Bombay (RCB) has been carrying on a daily cooked meal program for the true needy daily wagers, tribals, and the like since 11th. May 2021.”, Says President Framroze Mehta. The cooked food distribution program was carried out at all points even when the effects of cyclone Tauktae buffeted Mumbai. Their brave and kind-hearted volunteers braved the elements much to the delight of the impoverished and hungry families.
