Notwithstanding there Orchestra is banned in Bars in the city, yet some bars flout the rules and continue with their illegal activities.In a fresh case on an information and tip-off,Enforcement (SS Branch) the night team of enforcement raided Vijaya Laxmi Orchestra Bar and Restaurant” Amar Mahal Junction P.l. Lokhande Marg, Near Flyover Bridge, Chembur on 11th of November at 11.30 pm and arrested accused running illegal Orchestra Bar (dance bar).
Amid the raid Enforcement team Rs. 39,900/- cash, 1 laptop,1 speaker, 1 Amplifier, 1 memory Card.
Total number of 19 were nabbed comprising:
1 Bar manager cum Cashier,
5 Stewards/waiters,
1 Orchestra artist,
12 customers, 1wanted licence holder. 8 girls were rescued.
The accused has been booked under Sections CR. no 867/22, u/s 114, 34 IPC, r/w 3, 8(1),(2),(4) prohibition of obscene dancing in Hotel, restaurants and bar rooms and protection of the dignity of the women (working in them) act 2016.
