Bollywood’s CHANDNI no more

This morning, News of the sad demise of legendary actress Sridevi left the entire nation and bollywood fraternity into shock. Sridevi one of the first female superstar of Bollywood was in Dubai to attend wedding ceremony of her nephew Mohit Marwah, also an actor and tragedy struck her in form of cardiac arrest. Nobody could believe that she is no more and sent shock waves amongst all.

Born on 13th August 1963, Sridevi started her career as a child artiste and then paved her way to being a most sought actor through her talent and hardwork. She has worked in more than 200 films in many different languages in a career span of more than 40 years. She married Producer Boney Kapoor in 1996 and has two daughters Jahnvi and Khushi. Her elder daughter Jahnvi is gearing up for her Bollywood debut and currently shooting for her debut movie “Dhadak”. She could not be part of the wedding in Dubai due to her shooting commitments but has now rushed to Dubai after the sad news. The year which was suppose to be full of excitement for the family has turned out to be a tragic one.

Sridevi had left acting post her marriage but made a strong comeback in 2012 with English Vinglish and then last year’s critically acclaimed MOM. She was one of the first actress to get a crore for a movie in 90’s and was considered as a First female superstar of Bollywood. Her notable works include Sadma, Lamhe, Chaalbaaz, Mr. India, Chandni, Khuda Gawah, Laadla and Judaai. She had recently shot with Shahrukh Khan for a cameo in his upcoming movie ‘Zero’ which releases in December 2018 and might be her last onscreen presence. We still cannot believe she is no more. The entire World will miss this ever charming, epitome of beauty, bundle of talent and a very humble person’s presence.
