Bollywood Celebrities bring in Diwali in extravagant manner

It is a known fact that most of the Bollywood Celebrities bring in Diwali, the festival of lights in an extravagant manner. A day before the sacred Laxmi Puja, some of the big names in Bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan Ekta Kapoor Shilpa Shetty Anil Kapoor and Shahrukh Khan host card event with high stakes. The biggest event is hosted at the abode of the Bachchans in Jalsa. But this year after 2 years the senior Bachchan hosted the event in his new abode Mansa which is behind Jalsa which he has gifted to his bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the invitation is extended to the creme de la creme of the entertainment industry and is extravagantly celebrated and which is not missed by anyone.
Other celebrities like Taapsee Pannu and Malaika Arora celebrated the festival with their respective families. Whereas some continued working on the day. Even as Shah Rukh Khan was in Delhi with his son AbRam for a pre-wedding festivities, however, he returned to Mumbai on time to celebrate Diwali with his family and colleagues at his posh Mannat bungalow. But he has always loved to bring in diwali in his home town Delhi. But many of his friends in Mumbai wait eagerly for his diwali party.

Nevertheless, the actor takes time out to be at the party hosted by the Bachchans. Jackky Bhagnani and Mallika Bhat hosted respective Diwali parties at their residence.

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu, whose latest film Saand Ki Aankh opened to fabulous reviews on Friday, two days before Diwali, chose to celebrate the fest with her family. She calls her parents from Delhi instead of going there. She strictly follows the ritual of making rangoli and painting diyas, do a small ardas at home and have dinner together.

Sonakshi Sinha also opened brought in Dieali at her Ramayan abode and celebrated the fest with her parents. She doesnt work on Diwali day fortunately because I think the entire industry takes an off on this auspicious day! She does pooja at home and then go visit some friends who are having Diwali parties at their homes.

Unlike Taapsee and Sonakshi, actress Alia Bhatt spent the day working. Alia Bhatt’s work-in-progress project Sadak 2 will take her to Ooty. Sadak 2 is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and she co-stars with her sister Pooja Bhatt in the movie.

Richa Chadha, also cleared her work calendar to celebrate the festival with her family, as het parents insist that all of us must be in the same city for the festival whenever possible… As a kid growing up in Delhi, Diwali was very hectic with our families doing the annual ‘Diwali gifting’ trips for two weeks before and after the festival. The good thing about this exercise was that we got to meet relatives at least that one time every year.
