An exclusive interview by Meenal Bharapatre with Hotelier and CEO of ” Ultra Hospitality Services “Mr. G.k Srivastava :

Travel industry is reeling from Coronavirus concerns, and anxiety prevails.
The Virus has almost frozened the travel industry, leaving many famous destinations nearly empty.
Hotels too are hit with no bookings.

Meenal Bararapatre, Associate Editor of Hello Mumbai News
meets Hotelier and Chief Excutive Officer of ” Ultra Hospatility Services ” Mr. G.K Srivastava to get his concern over the dreaded Virus and how it has impacted his ility business.

1.How has your business been affected due to this Cronavirus?

The complete series of reservation, has got cancelled.
Even the local guests have stopped coming and our establishment has started curtailing staff due to recession

2 .How much has been your loss?

Honestly speaking, it’s tuff to calculate, but assume the rough figure of Ahmedabad not less than 25 cr.
Besides coronavirus, there are more factors leading to the loss in business.

3.How many cancellations have you received as of now due to this Coronavirusna virus?

I have no comments to provide due to figures not available.

4 How are you facing this crisis?

Hoteliers in particular are being briefed about the precautions by using mask while in service and the use of sanitizers
If a staff is found coughing and has fever they have been asked to contact HR for necessary remedial steps.
But such precautions have not been noticed in private Hotels.

5.What is your appeal to the Government?

First of all let me tell you it’s not because of coronavirus..Health, Municipal as well as Tourism depts must from time to time read to ensure the hygiene, cleanliness, and service standard.
There should be a special seperate camp/hospital where inbound tourist can be taken for any problems
Since indian iconomy has dropped drastically, should not cancel foreign flights as it is a part of income.
Yes precautions must be taken.
Finally instead of terrorizing the publics, must focus on precautions, and treatments.
